Hannah richardson
APC Applicant
It is a beautiful and courageous step to seek healing. I am so glad you found your way to my page! Finding the right fit for therapy can feel overwhelming, so I’d love to share a bit about my framework to guide you.
Incorporating a strength-based approach, I utilize warmth and compassion as we tend to the joys and sorrows life holds.
I practice from a somatic experiencing informed approach, tending to the body’s response to emotional stressors in life. Healing can be found in the comfort of a safe, nonjudgmental presence. I enjoy weaving embodied practices, poetry, and music into the therapeutic process, and welcome you to bring creative aspects of who you are into session.
My goal in therapy is to work together on your desired goals so you may find greater connection to yourself, to others, and to living an emotionally attuned life. I have in-depth experience working with individuals navigating substance use, sexual and complex trauma, and identity work.
Before I became a therapist I studied child and family development, worked in the nonprofit sector for individuals experiencing homelessness, and with women in recovery from sexual exploitation. My prior career experience informs my capacity to connect with a broad spectrum of life experiences and cultures. In my personal life, I enjoy yoga, baking, biking through the city, and catching up on the latest season of Survivor. It would be an honor to connect with you!
