Lauren Ramos LPC
I believe the key to resilience relies on authentic and supportive relationships.
Struggles in relationships (past and present) can exacerbate anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. I use attachment theory to identify the type of dysfunction/trauma you adapted to early in life.
The ways we adapt can keep us from getting our needs validated in relationships.
I use CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Somatic informed therapy to help connect past painful experiences to the present day. This helps build insight and implement behavioral changes to create more supportive relationships.
As a clinician I believe in working alongside you while you explore the ways you're stuck. I also believe if we have to do hard things we should do them in cozy spaces, with authentic people, and always reward ourselves for sitting in discomfort with just the right amount of humor and/or snacks.
